Dear all,
As if we didn't have sufficient evidence about the beneficial effects of
physical activity already, along comes the following in this week's
edition of BMJ (British Medical Journal):
Physical activity and coronary heart disease

Coronary heart disease has been associated with psychological
depression- the latter of which, according to the World Health
Organisation, is to shortly become one of the major causes of health
disease burden.
So, putting funds into getting people to physically exercise more often,
and more regularly, should presumably pay off- not only in terms of
physical health- but in terms of mental health, as well. And, that would
represent a savings to the taxpaying public of billions.
well wishes,
Kate
