Just come back from a four hour session on the Tidal River Waveney
near Beccles Suffolk. I fished the tide down & started off very
slowly on the feeder with double red Maggot & mashed bread in the
feeder. first up was a small Gudgeon but I was soon into a shoal of 4
to 6oz Roach. It then died down until I caught the first of three
Skimmer Bream. After that sport died down considerably.

Final weight was 2lb 4oz including three Skimmers, four Roach( Plus
one drpooed at the net) & Three Gudgeon. I was going to use a gudgeon
to livebait for perch but in the dip below the bank the north west
wind was blowing down the river maikng it three degrees colder than
on the top. I had two coats on & my gloves & hat! I had, had a good
session & decided to call it a day.

I am now preparing for a Perch & tench day at Broome Pits near Bungay
in Suffolk in two weeks time.

Colin J.
