also the rules are based on the Basic Roleplaying Rules which were part of Call of Cthulhu, Runequest, Stormbringer, Elric, Superworld, Elfquest and a few other games. They are not D20 based (though D20 is just 5% points on D100 anyway). So there are no character classes, monster hit dies, etc. I got the impression from your mail that you thought it might be D20 based (as in D&D). There are professions that a PC can have access to from the start of play but from that point on any skill is available to the PC providing they can find somebody or something (such as the RWRPG Simweb) to teach them the skill.

Welcome.
The official Ringworld RPG produced by Choasium is out of print. You may
be able to get a copy second hand on Ebay (that's how I got mine).
More details here:

There are some GURPS conversions being created:

Hope this helps.

Subject: [RingworldRPG] Re: Rulebooks & such
Hello! I am a new member looking to play the Ringworld RPG with my
friends but I cannot find books or even online rules! I am most of the
way through the Ringworld series and can't wait to start the Man-Kzins!
Please let me know how to find rules, character classes and monster
stats, etc.
Thanks!
-Jake
