That would be good, as we are around for the gig.
It was fine til the dates changed. C'est la vie

Oh no :(
I will try and record the rehearsals so you can keep up to date! We'd still love you to come along to the Oxfolk gig, even if you don't want to sing :)

Having checked the revised rehearsal dates, the only one I can make is the first one. The next 2 I'm away and last one is Wheatley choral concert day so I'll be rehearsing that in the morning.
Will come to first one anyway to say hello.
See you in September

Hi everyone
I've finally(!!) got around to updating the website with a picture and some new words. I've also changed the name of the group to Rising Voices and added some more pictures to Holly's album of the festival. If you want to give out the address to anyone who might want to join it is http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/RisingVoices/This also means that if you want to post to the group you now need to send your email to RisingVoices@...Looking forward to the new practice season, dates are September 20th, Oct 4th, Nov 1st, Dec 6th, 10 for 10.30.Apart from the September date, we're moving to first Saturdays, because of various other things going on in the hall. What we're planning is to have coffee/breakfast/whatever with the breakfast club, then move in to the church itself at 10.30 to practice. We'll move back in to the hall for lunch and the afternoon practice, and probably finish around 2-3pm depending on how it's going. Our performance at Oxfolk ceilidhs is 13th December, the dance starts at 8pm so we will be on around 9.45 I expect. There's also Julie's folk carol service.. which I am ashamed to say I have temporarily forgotten the date of, though I think it is possibly the day after?? Could someone confirm that?! I'm hoping that the festival will have carols at the castle again, which we will be involved in although that's not arranged yet so don't know any dates. If anyone is around on 30th August there is a singing event going on at the Botanic Gardens in Oxford. We were invited as a group but they didn't give me much notice! The Blackbird Leys Choir (from that programme on the TV a while ago) are hosting it.I'm doing workshops at Towersey as usual this weekend so do come and say hello if you're there!Love Cat xx
