Dear Comrades

The Danish NGO Southern Africa Contact (SAC) hereby issue a statement in
support of the action called by the Swaziland Federation of Labour
(SFL), the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions (SFTU) and the Swaziland
National Association of Teachers (SNAT).

The SAC support all the issues that the trade union rmovements are
fighting for and that remain unresolved.

In solidarity with the Swaziland Workers and the trade unions, SAC
repeats its demand for the immediate and unconditional stop for the
harassment of political activists, particularly members of the
opposition party, PUDEMO, and the immediate unbanning of all political
parties.

The SAC also want to stress the need for better distribution of wealth
and resources in Swaziland. This is the only way to empower the people
and fight the high levels of unemployment, HIV/AIDS and rampant poverty
that is affecting the country today. A prime condition for this is the
introduction of a multi party democratic system in Swaziland.
