Well, I decided to treat myself to a birthday present and purchased
this, along with three other more recent Simulations.

It's going to take a long time to master I think, but it is
absolutely superb. I've had a couple of attempts, at Level 1, on a
Monday and got to about 4am, before deciding that I was in such a
mess, it would be easier to start again.

As recommended, I've started listing on paper all the departures that
need loco allocations, or changes and I'm going to embark on this in
a few minutes. As more of a diesel era fan, I keep forgetting thst
most important thing though, turning the locos to face the right
direction!

As a native of Carlisle, I find it fascinating to look at the complex
layout of the yards. By the time I'd started taking an interest in
the railways (late 70s), much of what's in this simulation were long
gone, but I really want to have a good trawl around the net for
pictures of the various locations.

Great stuff, I can see many hours being spent at the PC......
