(re: Exeter 1955) Torbay 1955   Message List

Torbay 1955 is another simulation where a 100% score seems to be
impossible at level 5 on Saturday.

(I haven't tried level 5 on any other days yet. That is why I've
delayed raising the question. Also, it is sufficient to know I
deserve credit for getting things right, even if I'm not given it.)

The main problem is that the simulation (14.03.2006 version) awards
far fewer bonus points than I'd expect, for correct allocation of
engines.

* Trains originating from Paignton and scheduled through to Newton
Abbot earn their correct bonuses.

* Trains with departure times from Torquay to Newton Abbot do not
earn bonuses (two of them, formed with stock from Goodrington /
Paignton, I'd expect to be worth 3 points each).

* A few trains from Kingswear earn bonuses, but most do not. I've
failed to establish a simple rule for which do and which do not.

Can anyone else confirm, refute or expand on this?

regards, Richard

On Saturday level 5 I have scored 95, 126 and (recently) 109 points, all way below the 141p target. The last one went pretty smoothly, just a few 1-point...
