Vista does have a number of implementation options, so your system may
do better. My experience on two different Vista systems, one desktop and
one laptop, is that the simulations )other than Signal Box and Driver)
do run on Vista, but without sound. The use of DOSBox fixes this, and
also allows the Signal Box and Driver simulations to run as intended. So
I always use DOSBox.

There are some DOSBox options that can affect the window size; at
present I haven't fully understood them, but I hope it will be possible
to make available one of more dosbox.conf files to give a useful
combination of options.

We are currently experimenting with Windows, and hope to upload a sample
Windows conversion of the recent Isle of Wight simulation shortly. If
customers like this, it may become the standard for future simulations.

Best wishes,
Tim Bourne (SIAM)
