RE: Windows Vista

Tim,

A few comments on the Isle of Wight Windows test. I find all of it fine to use and no problem. My only area of concern is the window/screen size. On the 22 inch wide screen monitor I use,the simulation at it's maximum setting and with it placed in the top right hand of the screen, it leaves 6 inches of horizontal area and 3 inches vertical area unable to be used. On this screen I am using the maximum allowable font setting for the results above.

The same situation is true on the laptop I use, which is 15.4 inches wide screen but in smaller proportions of course. On the laptop their are two more larger fonts available but the system won't allow me to use them.

Using the same two computers on Vista and not using Dosbox I can get a screen size which uses 95% of the screens and that makes it much better but without sound. So if you could place more flexibility in the screen size options it would be great. I would point out that if you can make your simulations available as Vista compatible it would be a much better option than Dosbox. You also have the option of getting some Mac users to get your simulations as I have Windows Vista running on my Power Mac within a hard drive partition  and of course it allows this since Apple started to use Intel chips.

Regards,

Peter, Nottingham
