RE: [SIAMulations] Minor screen size problem

Richard

Don't overlook the possibility of the monitor itself being slightly off kilter. It may be off centre or scanning too wide – use the monitor's screen display functions to shift and/or reduce the horizontal scan. The monitor display settings are not always spot on for size and centring. NB These settings can vary according to the graphics mode (which relates to screen resolution). So try setting correctly with the SIAM program running full screen mode, and then check that the display is not out of kilter back in Windows mode.

Actually, I find the SIAM programs display much more comfortably [for a high resolution LCD monitor] in windowed mode with a font adjustment size of 12 x 16– no need to change the font itself. Follow the instructions given by Tim.

Subject: [SIAMulations] Minor screen size problem

Since changing my monitor and playing a sim for the first time since, I have discovered that the left hand side of my screen (in full screen mode) is one column short - in other words, I can't see the arrow to tell me which way my steam loco is pointing!

This is a bit frustrating, especially as I'm toiling through Carlisle 57 and points are at a premium. I don't want to send locos out tender first.

Any suggestions folks? (I'm using Windows XP)

Thanks,

Richard
