Re: Vista, DOS Box & Exeter   Message List

Hi Folks,

Back in the UK for a few days. I have had SIAM simulations running on Vista but not without problems. Using DOS Box was better and seemed OK. As Vista still does not run all of Microsofts own applications I suppose at this stage it's not surprising some older software won't run. I expect the worst problems with Vista to be corrected in about a month and Service Pack 1 for Vista is going to be available this year I expect.

Just one qualification in the Vista run was I had to mess with the OS quite a bit and it was not that strait forward. If I have time to complete the tests and correct the problems I will pass on the details.

Had hoped Exeter might have been ready but looks like it won't be, certainly not before I fly out on Tuesday. Anyone any idea how far away it is?

regards,

Peter.
