Having spent my childhood in Exeter in the 1950s and 60s (childhood was longer in those days) I would have thought LE movements to St Davids would be infrequent, only covering the bankers and the occasional engine for the route knowledge trips via the GWR line.
Perhaps to make it really interesting you could have a turntable failure with engines having to travel to the other shed to turn.

Yes, though at busy times it will pay to have a west-facing West Country
or two ready at Central!
