Seth recently auditioned for a role in High School Musical 3. Seth
explains:

"I did audition for High School Musical 3 about a month ago. The
auditions were over four different days and were about 11 hours total.
I had to learn to dance in 1 week. We had to sing and dance and act. I
was told that it came down to me and the boy that got it. We had to
wait a week and a half before the final decision was made. At the final
audition there were four boys there for the role I was up for. They
told us that they had seen 600 boys for the role. Disney brought kids
in from the UK, Toronto, NY, Texas...... I really enjoyed working with
Kenny Ortega and all the people there. I was disappointed, but I also
knew that I did my best. I never talk about specific auditions but I
thought you would like to know about this one. Who knows maybe I will
get to audition for the next one. It was a lot of work and it was a lot
of fun!!!" Seth

of tumbling and wrestling. It is set during the turn of the 17th
century. I am working with a director that I have know for a long time
named Michael Kastenbaum. He is great and I think he will do a great
job directing this movie."

In a fitting follow-up to Bad Santa and Friday Night Lights, Billy
Bob Thornton makes the most of the remake trend in Bad News Bears.
He's just the right guy to inherit Walter Matthau's role from the
original 1976 version about a lousy Little League team baseball team
coached by a curmudgeonly drunk, and the original team of misfits
has been updated (but not upgraded) to an ethnic mix that includes
an Indian math whiz, a pair of Latino twins, and a paraplegic kid
who doesn't play until the final championship game. It's a little
sad to see a talented director like Richard Linklater doing an
unnecessary remake, but his experience on School of Rock made him
the obvious choice to mine comedy gold from the collision of
Thornton and a batch of unruly, prepubescent kids (including Sammi
Kraft, an all-star Little Leaguer in the role originated by Tatum
O'Neal). With Marcia Gay Harden and Greg Kinnear in supporting
roles, this isn't family fare (the potty-mouthed kids deservedly
earned a PG-13 rating), but Thornton's easygoing presence makes it
worthwhile for anyone who's not too attached to the original version.

The Kellerman's are the perfect American family: they're business
owners, proud parents, and they have a strong marriage. but life is
about to turn less than ideal for Rob and Courtney and their son
Sam. While working on pieces of their furniture and skipping stones
with his son, Rob begins to notice a loss of strength in his hand.
He can't get a solid grip without his hand quivering. At first he
thinks it's nothing, but when the symptoms persist, he and Courtney
decide to consult a specialist. It seems that their fears are not
unfounded; Rob has ALS, more commomly known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
As Rob and Courtney struggle to adjust to the changes in their life,
Monica who was hired to set up their computers , takes a more active
role in their life. She helps out where she can, and tries to get
them used to the fact that Rob won't be around forever. She
encourages him to cherish the time he has left and to involve
himself in his son's life while he still can. Rob though not
thrilled, tries his best to carry on, but there is yet more tragedy
to come for the Kellerman fmily. Later on, with Rob's condition
deteriorating, the coupole talk to their doctor, Andrew, about ways
for Rob to communicate when he can no longer speak. This really hits
home for Rob, and on the car ride back to the house, he and Courtney
despair for the future. It is during the drive, that another car
runs a red light and plows into them. Rob wakes up in the hospital,
but Courtney died on the operating table. Now Rob is given the
responsibility of a single parent, when he is unable to take care of
himself. He intends to overdose on his medication. He thinks he's no
good to anyone, especially Sam, and no one will stop him from
lightening the burden of the only family he has left. Except that
Sam isn't his only family. Rob has a brother, Pepper, a trucker, who
was also in love with Courtney and left when she got married. They
haven't spoken since that day, and Rob has written him off, all but
disowning him. But he is on his way now. Gloria told him what has
happened, and what Rob intends to do, and Pepper is going to do his
best to save his brother. When he does arrive, Rob locks himself
into his room, and tries to carry out his plans, but Pepper is
persistent, and with the help of Monica, he gets through to his
brother. They make Rob realize that with his help, there is still
time for Rob to see his son grow, that he isn't a burden, but a
valued member of the family: a father, a brother, and a child of
God.

The movie, directed by Richard Linklater, is a fairly faithful
remake of the 1976 film starring Walter Matthau, which inspired
sequels starring William Devane and Tony Curtis. They had strengths
of their own, but following Matthau's boozy vulgarian was not one of
them. Thornton's performance is obviously fond of the Matthau
approach, but finds a weary sadness in Coach Morris Buttermaker, who
made it out of the minor leagues long enough to play in one major
league game.

His team, the Bears, exists only because of a lawsuit filed by
attorney Liz Whitewood (Marcia Gay Harden), who believes the Little
League discriminates; she files a class action suit demanding that
the league accept all players. The Bears end up with bad players in
several categories: a black kid, two Spanish speakers, an Indian, a
kid almost too little to hold the bat and another one in a motorized
wheelchair. What they have in common is not their minority status,
but their inability to play the game.

They revived my own childhood memories of Little League, which I
hated; it was a meritocracy in which good players were heroes and I
was pointed toward right field with the hope that I would just keep
on walking. Well, of course it was a meritocracy. Sports involves
winning, and winning involves skills. What I could never figure out
was how some kids had always been good at sports and others would
never be any good, no matter how hard they tried: Kids like me, so
nearsighted that the approach of a ball had to be described to me by
teammates.

The kids are amusing, with the exception of Sammi Kane Kraft, mainly
because she plays the only girl on the team, but also because she
has a convincing rapport with Thornton. Seth stands out as Jimmy.

he realizes that Clemens is not safe under the care of the CIA. He
breaks Clemens out.

This eventually leads them to meet the boy genius, Michael Dean
(Seth Adkins) and them team up to take down an animal testing lab.
In exchange the scientist gives the boy some pointers on the girl of
his dreams. While Clemens gets himself into all kinds of monkey
hijinks, McCall tries it on with the kid's mom, and let's not
forget that the evil CIA director wants his monkey back.

Funky Monkey is an enjoyable effort that works best when it allows
itself to go completely tongue-in-cheek. The football finale is a
great example. Cheesy jokes coming together make this worth a watch.
Gilbert Gottfried shows up for a short cameo in the movie.

Run, don't walk to your nearest video store and get this film! Wow!
This ape is super-talented! Add to this stellar performances from
the cast including Seth - what can you say - box office magic! 10
stars!

Hairy Tale is now being re-filmed from 17th November 2003 to 22nd
December 2003. The movie looks set for release in 2004.

Seth plays the role of Michael Dean and is the story of a young boy
and his adventures with a chimp. Warner Brothers is excited to have
this movie turn out great, and will be using real chimps this time
around! Orginally they used a man in a monkey suit and are not happy
with those scenes.

MTV Films signed up Seth Adkins (for a musical adaptation of
Wuthering Heights. The movie has been written by Max Enscoe and
Annie deYoung and directed by Suri Krishnamma.

The movie went into production in Puerto Rico earlier this year and
will air in the last quarter of the year. A blockbuster group of
young actors and actresses including Erika Christensen (Traffic),
Mike Vogel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Chris Masterson (Malcolm in
the Middle), Katherine Heigl (Roswell) and Johnny Whitworth (The
Rainmaker) also star in this adaptation. Christensen will play the
role that was immortalized by Merle Oberon in the 1939 classic movie.

"Wuthering Heights" is an adaptation of the Bronte novel about
doomed and tragic love, conflicting passion and revenge -- updated
for the MTV audience in a dramatic and music-driven tale.
Christensen, Vogel and Whitworth will be making their on-screen
singing debuts. There is a strong relationship between Kate
(Christiansen) and the homeless boy her father brings home Heath
(Vogel). This makes her brother Hendrix very jealous which causes
tragedy for all of them in the end.

Jim Steinman (Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell") will executive produce
the movie and will provide his signature sound in original songs
written for and performed in the movie by Christensen and Vogel.

Seth Adkins enjoyed working on the movie in Puerto Rico. He
said "MTV was great to work with and so were the cast and crew.
The only thing bad was the mosquitoes !!"

The Kellermans are the perfect American family: they're business
owners, proud parents, and they have a strong marriage. But life is
about to turn less than ideal for Rob and Courtney and their son,
Sam (Seth Adkins).

While working on pieces of their custom furniture and skipping
stones with his son, Rob begins to notice a loss of strength in his
hand. He can't get a solid grip without his hand quivering. At
first he thinks it's nothing, but when the symptoms persist, he and
Courtney decide to consult a specialist. It seems that their fears
are not unfounded; Rob has ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's
Disease.

As Rob and Courtney struggle to adjust to the changes in their life,
Monica, who was hired to set up their computers, takes a more active
role in their life. She helps out where she can, and tries to get
them used to the fact that Rob won't be around for ever. She
encourages him to cherish the time he has left and to involve
himself in his son's life while he still can. Rob though not
thrilled, tries his best to carry on, but there is yet more tragedy
to come for the Kellerman family.

Later on, with Rob's conditioning deteriorating, the couple talk to
their doctor, Andrew, about ways for Rob to communicate when he can
no longer speak. This really hits home for Rob, and on the car ride
back to the house, he and Courtney despair for the future. It is
during this drive, that another car runs a red light and plows into
them. Rob wakes up in the hospital, but Courtney died on the
operating table.

Now Rob is given the responsibility of a single parent, when he is
unable to take care of himself. During the funeral, Rob plans to
kill himself. He intends to overdose on his medication. He thinks
he's no good to anyone, especially Sam, and no one will stop him
from lightening the burden of the only family he has left.

Except that Sam isn't his only family. Rob has a brother, Pepper, a
trucker, who was also in love with Courtney and left when she got
married. They haven't spoken since that day, and Rob has written
him off, all but disowning him. But he is on his way now. Gloria
told him what has happened, and what Rob intends to do, and Pepper
is going to do his best to save his brother. When he does arrive,
Rob locks himself into his room, and tries to carry out his plans,
but Pepper is persistent, and with the help of Monica, he gets
through to his brother. They make Rob realize that with Pepper's
help, there is still time for Rob to see his son grow, that he isn't
a burden, but a valued member of the family: a father, a brother,
and a child of God.
