Norwich Tango is closed for the first 4 Fridays in August (1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd).

 

BUT…..we are delighted to welcome some fantastic guest teachers to Norwich when we re-open in the autumn. Make a date in your diary for The Devil dances….TANGO! Halloween Milonga on Friday 31^st October when we welcome back Kicca Tommasi & Julio

Mendez as they briefly return to the UK from Buenos Aires. As well as teaching the drop-in classes they will be teaching workshops on Saturday 1^st November.

(Start looking for a partner now! At their last visit they were fully booked!)

To celebrate the end of summer on Friday 29^th August we reopen with guest teacher

Frank Seifarth. Frank teaches at the beautiful TangoLoft in Berlin (see photos on Yahoo & Facebook groups). He delighted dancers in Brighton recently with his workshops so they want him back for more! Frank will be teaching both drop-in classes on Friday night:

 

All levels incl. beginners: How can I make ALL the ladies follow me?

Improvers/Intermediate: How can I make her feel good when we are dancing? (Showing off the lady!)

WORKSHOP PROGRAMME is looking like this -

 

10.30 – 11.30am

Technique class for men (no partner required)

11.45 – 1.15pm 

Workshop 1) Creating elegance and excitement in the dance (imps/int)

1.45 – 3.15pm 

Workshop 2) All Change: Altering speed, rhythm and embrace in the dance (imps/int)

3.30 – 4.30pm 

Technique class for women (no partner required)

Frank differentiates his workshops - so if there are different levels within the class everyone can work at an appropriate level. For those arriving together in couples (or anyone else who would like to come/stay and chill out before/after the workshops – free tea, coffee and biscuits will be available in the foyer while your partner is doing the technique workshop – we will also have tango videos available to watch while you relax and wait or you can browse our collection of tango books! : ) 

Workshops need to be booked in advance so we may balance leaders & followers. You may drop-in to the technique classes – but please book in advance if you are also doing the workshops to take advantage of the discounted price.

Prices:

1 x 90 minute workshop - £10 (£9 concessions)

2 x 90 minute workshops - £18 (£16 concessions)

1 x 60 minute Technique class - £7 (£6 concessions)

Both 90 minute workshops and a technique class £24 (£21 concessions)

 

Frank will also be available for private lessons (singles or couples - £30ph – free venue available). He will be arriving in Norwich Wednesday 27^th or Thursday 28^th August.

I'll be tangoing in Sicily for a couple of weeks in August so I won't be answering the Norwich Tango phone but I will still have some internet access.

On Friday 5^th September Norwich Tango is delighted to welcome back Richard Manuel who will be teaching the improvers/intermediate class. As Pauline is very busy at present, Richard will be bringing his new dance partner Maria Solero (Rosario, Argentina).

St Giles House Tea Dances

(14^th December Xmas Tea Dance with possible guest teachers is still to be confirmed)
