Hi everyone.
I am proud and happy to announce a new Cambridge milonga - "La Falena", which will be held every Thursday from 8 to 10:30 at the USSC, Mill Lane, Cambridge.
"La Falena" takes the place of "Salon de Tango" - a longstanding feature of the Cambridge tango scene. Thanks to Nadine and Christian for entrusting me with the continuation of their lovely milonga and I wish them the best of luck in their new life in Scotland.
At "La Falena" you will find a wonderful dance floor and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Musically it will share the spirit of "Mano a Mano": traditional tango music shot through with the odd spark of something modern, all chosen with love, dedication and great care.
An exciting aspect for me is that I plan to run "La Falena" as a joint venture with John Connatty. This promises to bring you some variety since although we have similar tastes in music we each have our own distinctive DJ style.
Come and enjoy the first evening of 'La Falena' this Thursday 2nd July. You are guaranteed a warm welcome from John and me.
