A survey by Nuts magazine found that six England players; David
Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Michael Owen, Ashley and Joe
Cole all drive Astons. Of course it's difficult to say for certain
since most players change cars more often than you and I change our
socks. But 22 Premiership players including England squad members Sol
Campbell and John Terry own BMW X5 SUVs making it by far the most
popular footballer's drive. It beats the rival off-roaders the
Mercedes M Class and Range Rover into second and third places with 18
and 16 players respectively choosing to drive them.

HOTEL heiress Paris Hilton tried to tackle soccer hunk Frank Lampard after
spotting him at a post-Brit Awards bash.
The millionaire party princess, 24, pursued the Chelsea and England midfielder
across a string of London venues.

It looked like she might be making a cheeky bid to persuade the free-scoring
footballer to play the field.

But Blues star Frank, 27 — who is engaged to long-term Spanish girlfriend Elen
Rives — cleverly dodged the challenge and eventually gave her the slip.

Blonde Paris first clapped eyes on the Premiership pin-up at the crowded Warner
Music party, held after Wednesday’s Brits in a grand private home close to
Kensington Palace.
She danced her way through a crowd of fellow partygoers to make her pass.

True gent Frank, who has a daughter with Elen, happily chatted away and even
gave Paris a phone number before leaving the bash.
But he instantly became a marked man as the American began visiting a selection
of other parties in a bid to track him down again.

Paris — who split from her Greek shipping heir boyfriend Stavros Niarchos just
last month — first popped into Nobu Berkley for the Universal party with
pint-sized pop legend Prince.

She then sampled Kanye West’s Cristal champagne-popping celebrations at Movida
before finally ending up at the EMI knees-up in the swanky Baglioni Hotel.
There she climbed on a table to dance in the darkened club — and to get a better
view of the guests.

And with just minutes to go until the final whistle blew on the party, Paris
made her second move on Lamps.
She purred: “Hi, you’re here, that’s so hot.”

Then she pulled out her diamond-encrusted Blackberry and tapped in his name to
check that she had input the correct telephone number for him.

Frank plastered a grin on his face as Paris stroked his arm, then said: “Stay
here, I won’t be long. I’m going to the toilet and I’ll be right back.”
But after she cleared the area, Lamps gave her a final red card, grabbing his
mates and sprinting 20 yards to the door.

SOCCER star Frank Lampard is to buy a house near Barcelona but
insists he is not planning a move to the European champions.

The Chelsea and England midfielder, who admits it would be "a dream"
to play for Barca one day, has been looking at property in the the
exclusive resort of Sitges.

He said he and his wife Elen, who comes from Barcelona, wanted to
buy a house in Spain as an investment.

One tourist who saw him in Sitges said: "He and Elen were very
relaxed. He talked to fans who spotted him and said he was looking
to buy a house in the area.

"We joked about him leaving Chelsea but he said it was for the
future. It certainly does make you think though."

Lampard, 28, says Chelsea has offered to renew his contract.

LAMPARD READY TO OPEN TALKS
Who? - Frank Lampard
Where is he? - Chelsea
What is he linked with? - A new contract

Frank Lampard is set to quash talk of a move away from Chelsea by
signing a new deal with the club after the World Cup. With Michael
Ballack signing for the Blues last week, rumours have been rife that
Lampard may be on his way out of the crowded Stamford Bridge midfield.
However, the England international's agent, Steve Kutner, has worked
to play down such talk, revealing that the player will sign a new deal
later in the summer. "I have spoken to Peter Kenyon," he told the News
of the World, "and we are looking to sit down shortly after the World
Cup to continue talking about a new contract for Frank."

Interview in a football magazine "Don Balon"

The interview is in a hotel of Knightsbridge, near Harrod's.

- How you prefer the interview in english or spanish?
Better in english if we are going to speak for a long time....

- But you know spanish, can you say something?
Ja,jaja i know some bad expressions, i have learnt them from elen,
my girlfriend. "Joder" (= fuck) and more like this jajaja

- Are you a spanish football fan?
Yes, i see it often in Sky Sports. John Terry and Joe Cole too.
Normally i see barcelona matches, i like how it plays

- Wich is your favorite spanish football player in the premier?
Xabi Alonso

- How it it going with your mate Asier del Horno?
Very good, i think he's happy. He's a great person, i practice
spanish with him.

- Who do you think is the best spanish football player in the world?
Ummmm! Which one is yours?

- Xavi, of Barcelona
I'm with you. I played against him once with england team and he
taught me a lesson. We lost 1-0.

- Now, is Ronaldinho the best football player of the world?
Yes. If i have to choose a football player and pay to see him play,
it would be Ronaldinho. His quality, he's always smiling....

- Your girlfriend is spanish, how did you meet?
I met her four years ago in London. It was in a restaurant because
of a friend we have in common. I had never thought i would have a
spanish girlfriend.

- You have a daughter, Luna. Why this name?
It was , of course, more adecision from Elen, because of the spanish
influence. But, it's a name that I liked too. We thought it was a
good
idea a spanish name for our girl because she lives in london but
she's spanish too.
My daughter is incredible, wonderful. All day long i try to make her
laugh.

- How often do you visit barcelona?
Elen goes more than me if i am out of london because of work. But
whenever i can, i go with her. In summer we always go.

- Your character is english, the character of your girlfriend is
spanish... how ia it going?
Spanish character is different. In england we are more
soft,
we left the things pass. For example, if we
are in a restaurant and the food is not good, the spanish don't
think twice to say "this is a shit"

- I heard your are going to buy a house in Barcelona, it's true?
Yes, elen is from there and i love barcelona.

- Last summer some papers said that Real Madrid want to sign you,
and you said that if you do that Elen will kill you....
Ja,jaja,! she's a very big supporter and fan of Barcelona. What i
said, it was a joke, but it has some truth in it. All her family,
every one, are Barcelona fans, imagine.... how difficult it would be
for me!

- So you would prefer Barsa more than Madrid...
Elen prefers barsa but she would support me always in my decisions,
but now i am very good in Chelsea.

- Do you like spanish ham?
Oh, yes. Elen's aunt comes from barcelona and makes a great omelet.
I love spanish food... and bread with tomato catalan is simply
striking, mmmm! Jajaja

- How is your family?
It's very good. I have two sisters, one of them has a girl like me.
We are a humble, normal family. We are very close.

- How was you when you were a child?
I was a good boy. i never wanted to annoy my parents. I respect them
a lot

- You played cricket too...
Yes, but it was only a hobby. I always thought in football. When i
was young my father said me: if you want to earn money, play
football not cricket...

- An idol?
Paul Gascoigne. He was great as a player and i like his character
too. He's an ideal midfield player

The interview is in Chelsea Harbour.

- At Stamford Bridge they call you Superfrankielampard?
When i play i feel more human, not a hero

- When you were a child did your mother call you superfrankie?
(Lampard laughs). No, i was called Little Frank, but now yes she
says that to
me that yes.

- In Barcelona every summer we say and hope that you will come to
F.C Barcelona.
That is funny, because my girlfriend is from there and everyone
thinks i would go. I like people thinking of me in barcelona, it's a
fantastic club, i respect it, i like it, but now there is no one who
offers me so much as chelsea.

- Do you prefer Barcelona more than Real Madrid?

(He smiles) My wife can't read in a newspaper that i like madrid, she
will kill me! Between barcelona or Madrid, there's no choice, i'd go
with barcelona.

- Between the two leagues titles your daughter was born. What it like
a third title...?
Luna is fantastic, she is only eight months old. Elen repeats to
her "mama,
mama", but luna doesn't say anything yet.

- Do you see Elen's parents often?
No. Elen's mother -i saw her only once. Her father more, because he
comes to see some matches. I have often seen her grandma who is very
old but
it's very funny when she come.

- The best moment of the day?
In the morning, the 20 minutes i am with Luna watching cartoons. We
see
Dora, the explorer, a girl who teaches spanish. When i am at home i
love to stay with elen and luna. I like to cook english food, too.

- With your wife? And you don't have a fight?
In the kitchen, of course. We are always fighting.

The millionaire party princess, 24, pursued the Chelsea and England midfielder

It looked like she might be making a cheeky bid to persuade the free-scoring
