Hi!
This is a 'hello' post to the Tubes Traders.
My name's Darren and I'm a mid-30's Tubes fan from the UK.
First got into the band in 1985ish so although I've been to a few UK
gigs I've never seen them in the original line up:-(
I used to be an avid Tubes collector (still have a full set of
vinyls) and, in the earlier days of the 'net I wrote a discography
that was used for the official page. Back then I traded a fair bit
for audios which I transfered to CDS (these were tape days) and
uploaded a few of them in 'remastered' form as 'Glasshouse' CD's. I
still see these online for downloads although after all this time I
really wouldn't vouch for my 'remastering'.
Other than that the only boot I really got out into the 'wild' was
the late 80s demos which I bought from a ex-friend of Bill on CD. It
felt good to 'release' something previously not circulating but that
was a one off, I'm not in the loop - or any kind of loop:-)
Just found the Tubes Traders on Yahoo, I had no idea the place
existed! Still a lot of catching up reading old posts so I'm
expecting to post more. Ever since The Tubes Movie was announced I've
really been hankering for some more vintage audio/video as my
collection is well out of date by now.
Anyway, glad to have found this place and excited at the prospect of
obtaining some new/old Tubes goodies!
Darren
