Hi!
I've recently been checking through my old Tubes boots and found that I had a
recording of Record Plant 21-11-1974 which differs from the Wolfgangs Vault
version. All my audio was transfered from traded tapes years ago (a few of the
circulating bootlegs are from my transfers/needle drops) and I remember getting
this tape in a trade and, judging from the labeling of my CDR, the date/location
was a bit bodged.
The tracklisting...
01 - Mondo Bondage
02 - The Hip Dip
03 - Boy Crazy
04 - White Punks on Dope
05 - Malaguena Salerosa
06 - What do You Want from Life?
07 - Crime Medley*
08 - Never Amount to Nothing*
09 - Space Baby
10 - GLAD to be an American*
* these tracks aren't on the Wolfgangs version.
The tracks fade in abruptly and are not in the same order as the Wolfgangs
version. Of interest are the last few tracks which, although from the same gig
(it's a soundboard, sounds like a radio recording) don't appear to be on the
version which is circulating.
The last track is GLAD to be an American and has a much looser feel than the
released version, a few different lyrics, bits of Louie Louie and such before
going into 'the new national anthem' Third Stone from The Sun. It's REALLY neat.
Crime Medley starts with Fee talking about the Saucilito police and how the band
are 'Grooving in the country'.
So the question is, really, is this circulating widely, what is it (ie, is it a
soundboard or a recording of the original radio broadcast or a compilation of
another show I don't know about) and does anyone want me to upload it somewhere?
