The memories of seeing Vince with the Tubes at the Hammersmith Odeon
way back in '81, with me at the tender age of 15, are still fresh as
ever. The Tubes collectively were one of the inspirations behind me
later taking up the guitar and playing in bands. Vince stood out
prominently from the rest of the guys, especially prior to Completion
Backward when he had the crazy hair and sunglasses thing going on. For
me he was the epitamy of rock and roll in every way and surely
inspired many young keyboard-wannabee's to make great music as he did.
He left the world a better place which is surely all that anyone can
ever wish to do and his musical legacy will always be with us.
