Hmmm. So is Winzip's zip format different from that used by the

Hehehe, now you've got your own modding forum w/out BTS having to do
anything :). Spread the word to other modders and sluts.

Anybody know if BTS's CMHQ is ever going to start collecting mods
like it did in the CMBO days? That would solve the problem of
hunting mods all over the net and dealing with things like Tom's
server. But it's been a month since that site was even updated :(.

Hi all,
1/ About .rar : you need WinRAR or WinACE to read those files, they use a different compression system than zip . The softwares are available freely, just make a quick search on Google and d/l them

2/ About Tom's : there are problems with the MGO ftp servers and with Tom's CMBB mods files - it looks like they aren't where they should be, plus the server should accept anonymous ftp logins and doesn't .. .So the only CMBB mods that you can get are  Juju's smallarms and the Hetzer (that use CMBO mod directly...). I wrote to him about all that, hoping he can fix it !

3/ About Yahoogroup hosting : it doesn't offer much space nor bandwidth. If BigCheese allows and others want it, I can mirror the files on my webspace, 80Mb/good speed

Regards

I have a problem with Tom's site.  About 3/4 of the time, I am unable
to d/l a file from there.  When I hit the link, I get a "page not
found" error.  But every once in a while it works, for at least some
of the time, but I usually can only d/l 1 or 2 files before the error
kicks in.

I saw Tom's post saying that was a bandwidth thing, but it happens to
me at all hours.  Thus, I've been unable to get your winter T34.
Which is why I was hoping to get it from here, but I see it's a .rar
file, which I know nothing about.

Well, so far it's working, at least with the Pz38(t). But I haven't
done the others because they're shown as .rar files instead
of .zips.

What's a .rar file? Is that some Mac thing or will it work on a PC
somehow?

Anyway, keep up the good work. And pile on the rust and dust, too. :)
