BITX Group Build - 20m 6w SSB transceiver.   Message List

I was very encouraged at the AGM when so many people came to me to say
they would be interested in building this QRP radio.

http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/bitx.html

The idea I had was to construct in step with each other at the club
meetings. I thought 30 minutes to one hour at each meeting would be
enough. (Buildathon method).

Garo who pretends to be non-technical said he would participate if the
entire process was supervised.

So far I have around 6 names and would hope to get that up to 10 or more.

Because of the positive response I will next create a components list
so we can price it up. I believe this will be very cheap to kit out
because it uses inexpensive easy to obtain parts. For example the
torroids are wound on Tap Washers. The 10mhz crystals are 20p etc.

Building equipment can be good fun and with Mike, David and Colin and
others around to help success is almost a guarantee.
