Description

This SelfBuild Forum, is for those who are undertaking, planning or have an interest in SelfBuild in the UK.

SelfBuild is a generic term for those who wish for whatever reason to build for themselves. This may involve undertaking the great majority of the work, or standing back and managing the work of others. In practise it is usually a combination of both. It is not usually used to describe the person who has a single builder undertake all of the work including the project management.

The forum represents SelfBuilders in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), and is limited to these geographic areas to make its content relevant. Questions are welcomed from elsewhere around the globe, of course, but the advice given may not be applicable to these areas.

Who "owns" the UK_SelfBuild Forum?
This Yahoo Group is "owned" by Rick Hughes, but in reality the SelfBuild forum is owned by its members, this forum is unmoderated, providing self policing works it will stay that way.
That is why it is everyone's responsibility to try to preserve order by attempting to follow basic netiquette (see Emily Postnews articles in news:news.announce.newusers)

Is there a FAQ?
Yes - It can be obtained from http://www.borpin.co.uk/sbfaq/dokuwiki/doku.php

Is there a Charter?
There is no formal charter for this group, so the FAQ is used in lieu of one.

Rex I wonder if you have one of these modern 'low water use' cisterns? if so, you could try increasing the amount of water being used per flush or if it's a
