Sadly I will not be able to come to the picnic after all - family matters require me to be in Leeds. I hope you have lots of fun and the rain gods are kind.
Hopefully I'll be able to come to the next meeting whenever that is.
best wishes
Lindsay

Subject: [VSO_Local_Group_York] Picnic venue
Can everyone who is coming on Sunday please vote on the following options for venues by end of Friday. The one with the highest votes will win! I'm throwing an extra into the list and have looked at the weather forecast for Sunday - cloudy but little chance of rain.
Homestead Park (near Youth Hostel) - parking??
Rawcliffe Park (park and ride off A19) - lots of parking
Beningbrough Hall (off A19) - parking and places to picnic outside gardens for free, but must pay to go in
York University grounds - parking and shelter from rain
My vote is Rawcliffe Park (field near carpark) because it has plenty of parking and is just off the ring road so avoids centre of town.
