Hello One and All . . Just a couple of quick things for your delectation.
First – My Short Film “The Service Industry” (made with a Hitchcock award) is being screened at The Portobello Film Festival. So if anyone is planning to go to the festival why not make it Sat August 4th around 7pm at Westbourne Studios.
Second – Simon Davies has very, very kindly passed on some splendid kit to me which anyone in the group shooting stuff is welcome to use . . Just let me know in advance so I can make sure it’s available for you. FREE of charge obviously so you can spend your budget pennies elsewhere. There are :
a) 4 x Halogen Lamps. Each lamp has 2 channels (1000w each) so potentially 8k to play with. (Need to sort out a couple of fuses but I’ll get this done.)
Stands are included and there are a couple of extra stands so you can have these too for flags etc if you need them.
2 of the lamps have hoods and there’s a couple of photographic umbrellas so knock yourself out with soft light !
b) A Universal Dolly – There’s no track with this but if you’re shooting in a studio you’re welcome to give it a go for that TV style mobile camera feel.
c) A Tracker (Handheld) Rig for those lovely pseudo Steadicam Shots.
