Reply | Forward Message #627 of 719 |

“The Patchwork Sun festival” is an exciting and vibrant family day out that celebrates the cultural and artistic diversity of Tower Hamlets.

We are looking for energetic and vibrant volunteers to help us create a festival that harnesses community spirit and shows the residents the splendid range of arts, culture and public services in the borough.

This festival is happening on Saturday 1st September from 12pm – 7pm in King Edwards Memorial Park, Shadwell.

The festival reflects the variety of nationalities and artistic practices within Tower Hamlets. With so much quality to choose from, there will certainly be something for everyone on the day:

§         40 different stalls providing food, arts & crafts, fashion, information on healthy living and access to public

        services

§         A main stage featuring local amateur and professional musicians

§         A marquee providing dance classes and performances

§         Storytelling for grandparents and grandchildren

§         Drumming workshops and an art exhibition

We are pleased to be able to offer volunteering opportunities in the following areas:

§         Stage management

§         Market stall management

§         Assistant market stall management

§         Performers coordination

§         Parking stewards

§         Information distribution

If you would like to be part of this grand day out, please contact us for a volunteer application form and further information at contact@... / 020 7247 4710

This community led festival has been organised in partnership with Tower Hamlets Partnership and aims to promote healthy living and access to public services by the local residents.
