Base N Rebulz Entertainment and CIDA present:
Entrepreneurs: The Next Generation
Date: Thursday 1st November
Time: 5.30 – 9pm
Location: London (TBA after registration)
A seminar for a new generation of Entrepreneurs.
The idea for this seminar was built on the premise that Entrepreneurship is not seen as synonymous with ‘Urban’ culture despite there being a number of successful entrepreneurs identifiable as coming from or being influenced by Urban culture.
We felt there was a need to celebrate those who have built businesses often against the odds, and at the same time inspire those who are in the early stages of doing so. We have selected a panel of acknowledged entrepreneurs who are close enough to their community to provide inspiration without alienation.
At the seminar each speaker will present for a few minutes on their background and what they believe are the key ingredients of entrepreneurship. Then we will have a structured question and answer session followed by an open floor discussion where each panel member will lead a small group for more focused debate.
We’ll have music, and free food and drink to keep the energy levels up.
We seek attendance from both up and coming and established entrepreneurs - perhaps you’ve been trading for 18 months, or are in the early stages of developing your business idea. Either way, this seminar is a fantastic opportunity to hear experiences of young entrepreneurs across the creative industries (be it music, fashion or entertainment) and to network with other like-minded people setting up their own businesses.
The seminar’s guest speakers are:
Akala (Illa State Records)
Kojo (Comedian/Presenter)
Theo Lucas (Streetz Iz Watching)
Shabz (Music Kidz/Hype City)
Megaman (So Solid)
T. Magic (Art Is My Hustle)
Our moderators for the evening are:
Invisible (BBC 1Xtra)
DJ Neev (Kiss FM)
