It might be getting easier to pick up a camera and make a film, but is it getting any easier to make a film-making career? Whether you like it or not it’s who you know that often counts, and while getting out there and forging professional contacts may not seem a nicety, it’s certainly a necessity.

This Stellar Network event will offer you top tips on how to make networking work for you, followed by the opportunity to put them into practice. There will also be a free prize draw where you can win some great filmmaking prizes :)

This will be followed by Patchwork Networking, a free drinks session for filmmakers, industry and people working across the video, broadcast and film industries to meet, network and make new contacts. Patchwork Networking was set up in 2004 by director Christopher Gavin and producer Christine Hartland.
