Hi Everybody,
I'm interested in starting some low budget, short film making workshops in the
area.
These would include:
preproduction, production and post-production.
Anybody interested?

Just wanted to say how great that you're doing this! It really put a smile on my face when I saw it. I'm too busy to apply, sadly - but if I can help further down the line, if you get stuck for something or other, don't hesitate to get in touch. My son is now 17 and studying performing arts in the 6th form at Walthamstow Academy, so I should think he and his friends might be up for helping out if you need some unpaid extras/runners/cable carriers.
I spoke to Ahmed recently and we said we'd get together for a coffee one day; I don't know whether you'd like to join us?
Subject: [WalthamForestFilm] Producer needed for East London based short film
Title: North by Northeast
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, enterprising and ideally London-based, hands-on producer, who will be willing and able to co-ordinate fund raising and assist with the organisation of all stages of the production process.
About the Film: North by Northeast is an East London-set poignant drama about loss, illegal immigration, identity and DVDs; a realistic yet highly cinematic character piece with subtle allusions to North by Northwest.
A grey concrete concourse outside a huge supermarket, many Chinese DVD sellers sell their wares. We focus on Wang as he goes through the dehumanising daily cycle of the life of a DVD seller: endless selling, packing up and moving on, haggling, being abused by passers-by, the constant threat of a police crackdown, and the unseen hand of his criminal master. Wang is further hindered by being stuck with a seemingly un-sellable classic DVD.
Wang originally came to London alone to earn enough money to bring his family here, but the promised work never materialized. Now he's trapped in a guilt-ridden, semi-criminal hinterland, sending what little he can back home to his Wife and sick daughter, Bia. Wang has nearly saved enough to start her treatment – but considering his daily earnings his target still seems nearly impossible.
Wang comes into contact with a lonely but friendly old man, Mr Bennett. Wang is cheered by the fact someone has actually noticed him, but communication between the two is difficult and halting. They both share a common sense of loss: Mr Bennett, the death of his wife and the loss of his family home due to the dual-carriageway that cuts the neighbourhood in two; and Wang the loss of his family, who are thousands of miles away. They strike up a rapport. But his fledgling friendship with Mr Bennett presents Wang with some difficult choices, and he struggles to do the right thing.
About the Filmmakers: Andrew Hutton (Director) is an experienced network television director with credits for all UK network channels in documentaries and drama-docs, who is now crossing over into drama.
The script is by Paul Nash, who has written of a number of short films, many of which have played at UK and international film festivals, and a couple of them award-winning.

Sorry I made a mistake in my previous email. See below. You don't have
to be good to come along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I meant to say "It would be good if we could
make it"
Hi,
See below info and attached flyer with date and details. If we be good if we could make it. Lisa is the leading character from my short film "Death of a Fish" and James acted with Lisa on a viral ad we made a while ago. It would be great to see Lisa singing and performing comedy with James. It also would be a great opportunity to meet up in case you are free. Feel free to bring friends along too.

Hi everyone
I'm preparing to shoot a no budget short (7 mins long) & struggling
with lighting. At the moment I'm just rehearsing the scenes & I need
someone with some lighting experience who's willing to help me out on
set on shooting day - Sunday 22. I'm using 500w floodlights x3 minus
barn doors. The filming is in one location - a kitchen.
Unfortunately, I can't afford payment but I can reimburse travel
costs as well as provide grub.
If interested please reply to kchitumbo@...
Many thanks

VOTE FOR “DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS” SHORT FILM and INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
There was a previously a problem with Yuglo web and many votes were not registered. I would be very grateful if you could support “Different Directions” with your vote as soon as possible. See instructions below for English speakers. Remember I haven’t got much time before the deadline. Please give the film the highest score of 5 (give 5 yuglos) because the voting system will calculate the average between the stars given and number of votes. So, in order to be among the finalist we need the 5 yuglos for each vote.

It means login or register vote here. You must click in "Registrese" and you will be taken to a window where is written “Usuario”, here you must enter your chosen user name. Where is written “direccion de correo” enter your email address. Where is written “contraseña” enter a password, something you will remember, and make sure you also remember your user name because you will need it to go back to login to vote. Where it says “confirmar contresaña” enter your password again to confirm it. Then check the box “Condiciones de uso” and click “Crear Cuenta Nueva”.
You will shortly receive an email (in Spanish) asking you to click on a link. Click on the link and your account will be activated. Close the window that is automatically opened and return to http://www.yuglo.com/video/different-directions-0

"A retrospective look into the electrifying explosion produced when opposite poles meet and their downfall"
An insight into the ‘bad timing’ of Ian and Helens relationship, that is leading them in different directions. Helen is a young woman who acts on impulse. She is the one who runs for the bus. On the contrary, Ian is the kind of person who would wait for the next. The film takes us into the crucial moments of Ian and Helen relationship: first encounter, the test of time that reveal differences, and finally the breakdown. It opens a debate where sometimes we may need to take a different direction to the one we love in search of happiness. Other times, we find ‘the one’ walking opposite us yet we decide not to look. Finally, in another time, another place, could Ian and Helen find their way back to love?

businesses.
