Hi Gordon,
I joined 102 Squadron at Topcliffe in May '41,77 Squadron
was also there until Spetember when they left for Leeming,sorry that
I don't recognise the names,maybe faces would be different as we all
lived to-gether in Skellfield House,in fact half of the boys in our
room were 77.
Things were crowded there with two Squadrons,two sittings
for every meal in the Mess and Skellfield House which was a private
girls school before the war (also to-day)but in those days we were
all young and foolish".
January '42 and we started to convert to Halifax 11's and I
think some of our aircraft went to 77,
