Hi "Old Fart"

Just to say that my Dad was a WOP/AG with 51 Squadron at Dalkeith. He
completed his tour on the rear gun before going to Kinloss as a
gunnery instructor. Was promoted from Flt Sergeant to Flying Officer
and was Officer of the Watch the night of VE Day. He had to close the
bar!! ho ho ho. It re-opened immediately and I believe was later
burned to the ground. He was William Matthew Jamieson ("Jimmy").
Probably won't ring any bells, but its good to know that there are
still some of you guys still around. My Dad died in 1990 - he would
have loved this mail group and had much to contribute. I will do my
best in his absence.
