Tough question...
I visited both restoration workshops of Aucklands MOTAT (museum of transport
and technology) and the RNZAF Museum in Christchurch. I know for a fact that
the RNZAF Museum does trade aircraft parts with other museums and possibly
restoration groups like ours.
Whether or not they have have the parts that are needed is another matter.
The best thing to do would be to contact the Museums and see what they have
in storage and if they are willing to trade or part company.
Incidently I donated some 8mm footage of the Hendon airshow in 1928 to the
RNZAF museum (the orginal film went to Hendon RAF museum of course) through
which I met the CEO of the museum a lady named Trease, who is a friend of a
friend.
