I am Eric. I live in the USA but I was born in Peru. I have not experienced
as much as you have, and maybe I know way less about meditation and paganism
than you. And I admire your enthusiasm.
What I see, and maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that you like the
Shamanic work, and undrestand some or lots of it. That I don't know. But
what I know is that in many cultures that still follow the traditional
"Medicine Man", the Shaman or Medidcine Man are chosen by the spirits.
Always against the choice of the person to be a shaman or they know because
an elder shaman told them when they were a child. But when the calling
arrives it is always shoking to say the least. Today we have lots of
"Plastic Shamans". I am not saying that that is what you are or want to be,
no. All I am saying is that that is what I am witnessing all over. When the
spirits show up and choose you, you either will be struck by a lightning
more that once, or you have lucid dreaming of lightning and thunder, or
spirits will tell you in a very graphic way. When they want your attention,
you will get it. And there is not going to be any doudt. Also there has to
be other Medicine Man 2 or 3 that have to honor and agree with your calling
and say: "Yes, he is for real"
My friend, the real Shamans have to make a vote of poverty. They can't
charge money, they sirvive from other people's generosity. Or have another
job to survive. But the work of the spirit is meant to be free of charge. It
is a very ard life.
If lightning have been involved, then there is the Heyoka part of it, and
that is very difficult and powerfull as well.
I did too experienced the Holy Spirit at one time, we all are ought to
experience Her/Him.
My friend my best advise for you is to see what Rosita will tell you do
physically do. In the mean time if I were you, I would just stop trying to
find what it is. They know our intent and when our will is too strong and
not sumissive open and giving like feminine energy, then they will go shy on
you. And retreat. Look inside of yourself and see what is the force driving
your will, is it unconditional love for your enemy or for yourself.
I have seing a Medicine Man taking appart his new furniture, because the
person that offered tabacco for Healing did not have money to buy wood for
the fire before the Sweat Lodge. It is all about love my friend.
