Re: [Wisdom_of_the_Andes] Chumpi Belts

Hello Sue.
It's fine My best friend when I was a child called me Jane
What I meant to say was I was trained by the man who taught Alberto The bands of power. All of Alberto's students where taught that the Siki or black belt was earth. This is Alberto's view. The traditional view is that the siki is connected to water because it can flow deep into the earth, it is also our ability to go deep into our subconscious to find peace and stillness. The blets themselves are part of the middle tradition (Chuapi) and are the tools of the Chumpi Paqo. A very rear  branch of the Andean Priesthood .

Thank-you, Jane.  it is intesting, though, because the training I received was from one who trained from Alberto - but the first band is earth?  That is way I was wondering.  i do hope to take the training with the Chumpi belts further to help aliviated this confusion. Sue

Hello Sue The bands of power and the Chumpi Belts are the same thing. each Chumpi has an eye called a Nawi. The first band is black or dark green and  is connected to water. the second band the qosqa is red and connected with earth.
I was trained by Juan Nunez Del Prado this is the same person that passed to Alberto the bands of power.
hope this helps

Hello,

I wonder if you could enlighten me on the difference (if there is any) between the Bands of Power and the Chumpi Belts?  Are the elements the same - first band is earth in the Bands of Power (in Munay-ki) - with the chumpi belts is the first belt earth as well or is it water?  Thank-you for any information you can give me regarding this.

Thank-you for sharing this... The element of water feels right to me, when I share and teach this rite with others I will also tell them what you have told me....
