| Greetings All, A Fire Ceremony had previously been announced for Jackson Michigan this weekend, September 13th. However due to a fantastic invitation we are having a change in venue. The Fire Ceremony will now take place as part of EarthDance 2008, at the Ligon Center in Clio Michigan. 5213 E Farrand Rd Clio, MI 48420. EarthDance promotes peace by joining participants worldwide in a synchronized Prayer for Peace and to support humanitarian causes through the global language of music and dance. To find out more about EarthDance, go to www.earthdance.org Mateyo's Peruvian Fire Ceremony will take place after the Prayer for Peace which is at 7 PM sharp! People will begin gathering at 4 PM for EarthDance. The Fire is open to all abilities and ages. (Parents, please be fair to yourselves by finding childcare if your child would distract from your participation and enjoyment.). No supplies are needed, and full instruction will be given before the ceremony. We will have a review of the fire procedure for those of you new to the Ceremony before it begins. After the fire we will have a potluck and time for questions, sharing, healing, etc until about 9. Please dress for the outdoors. Bring your drum, rattle, and/or sacred object if you have one. Vegetarian food for the potluck afterwards would also be appreciated. Anyone currently registered for a class is encouraged to participate as part of the teaching. Everyone else, a donation of $5 is requested.
