Subject: [BCMKN] Daventry meet-up in October

Well, the results are in for the Daventry meet-up in October and,
although the second date has more votes, some people who didn't
vote/aren't on BCMKN can only make the *first* date, so it was in
actual fact a tie!

Therefore I am going to have a meet-up at Sadlers Fine Foods in
Daventry on BOTH dates. I'll be there, and whoever can make it just
come along...

Details as follows:

Saturday 11th October AND Saturday 25th October

Meet-up starts at 1pm at Sadlers Fine Foods, 2-6 High Street, Daventry,
NN11 4HT. For anyone who hasn't attended a meet at Sadlers before, it's
very easy to find, at the very top of High Street, opposite Market
Square. Parking is free, but do check time limits of the car park
you're in. Some are 90 minutes, most are 3 hours and some are all day.
Some car parks where there are no time limits are: the one behind
Waitrose (this is very busy!), the Daventry District Council car
park (only a 3 minute walk to Sadlers too) and Daventry Library on
North Street.

The meet-up usually starts at 1pm, and we order food, get the books
out! and eventually have a trawl round Daventry's charity shops and
possibly release a few books around Daventry town centre. Daventry's
charity shops are pretty good. I think there's about eight, including
Help The Aged, British Red Cross, British Heart Foundation, Sue Ryder
etc... One of the best for books at the moment is The Salvation Army
shop, which has an offer of 10 books for £1!

The food at Sadlers is wonderful. Gorgeous sandwiches and baguettes
with fillings chosen at the deli counter are a must - the cheeses and
meats are amazing. I've also heard good reports about the burgers,
salads, soup, meringues and cakes!

If anyone would like any more information, and also if you hope to
attend, please just drop me a line to confirm via BC PM or via this
group.

I'd like to give Sadlers an idea of numbers attending the meet if
possible.

Hope to see you soon......

Beqi/Becky xx
