Dear all
I am v. dissatisfied with the current state of affairs and having spoken to a few people, I don't think I'm alone. As John Griffith's letter informed us last week, the next stage of 'consultation' has been put back to November. We also (very predictably) have our fellow campaigners being told that they can't be party to 'confidential' information.
The overwheling feeling I have is that LBTH does not really ragard the future of York Hall as any of our business. They will 'consult' us at their convenience and allow us such information as they think they can trust us with. We are being locked in to their timetable and their agenda.
Enough! I would like us to meet within the next fortnight and demand an update from the Council on what is going on with some v. imprt. issues e.g. the letting of the YH contract
I would also like to hear from members of the steering group and propose that if the wider Save York Hall group feels that the steering group is not meeting our expectations, we withdraw and make our dissatisfaction publicly known.
Best
Glyn
P.S. Tony, I'll pop in to arrange a date for St. Margs.
