Subject: York Hall - rescheduled meeting dates

Dear all

The meeting of the York Hall Users Group to discuss the draft report
on the future of York Hall will now take place on Monday 17th
November 2003 in the Cafeteria at York Hall from 7.00- 8.30 pm. I
hope to be able to make copies of the report available in advance,
to post a copy on the York Hall Yahoo Site and also to email those
of you who would like a copy (minus all the annexes - which would
clog up my email).

As many of you know, the Council has been acting very cautiously in
releasing this material and will only do so after the date for
receipt of final offers from bidders for the new leisure contract
has passed (10th November). (For those who didnt see earlier emails
on this issue, and are interested, these are attached).

The final Public Meeting on York Hall will now take place in the
main hall of York Hall on Tuesday 9th December from 7pm - 9pm and
will be attended by the Lead Member Councillor for Leisure, Helal
Rahman. These two meetings preceed the submission of the report to
the Cabinet of Tower Hamlets Council which will not now happen until
January 2004. The new Leisure Contract will come into force, I
believe, from April 2004

I apologise for the delay. I hope that you and your friends/family
will be able to attend one or both of these meetings.
