York hall was brilliant and pretty much unique in its
previous incarnation, it had a lot of customers who
didn't want to see it changed. I do believe however
that it will change and that the management couldn't
care less how people feel about that. There is an
alternative, docklands turkish baths, but even that
could be gone in advance of the olympics in 2012. The
obvious solution would be for york hall people to
start their own turkish baths by leasing a premises.
Easier said than done I know, but if nothing is done I
do see the entire turkish bath tradition dying out
completely in the UK like it has in ireland. I am a
marketing and e-promotions consultant and would be
happy to promote any new facility, like I have done
for the docklands baths. The docklands group is
