Because, sadly there are so few communal baths left, many do not
understand what a gem York Hall prior to the rather sad situation
today. It is because of this that YH is such a gem. I thought very
highly of London for sustaining such a fabulous facility when I first
discovered it. To enable men to relax in each others company and aid
each other with non-sexual massage was great. Sadly, a few abused it
and got it shut down.
It appears that it is only the sordid abusers that are known about, yet
on a Tuesday, when did I ever see this happen? I think never.
It is essential that the campaign for a restored opportunity to really
relax (I can't relax in the present set up, it would be like being
naked in my maiden aunts bathroom!)that the whole story is explained to
the management, who are probably reasonable.
Do not expect them to understand without eloquence.
