Re: [Yorkhall] Can we not use Equality legislation to get us a better deal?

es, good idea.

Look at the compnayb web site and the issues relating to 'community' and refer to this.

The ciurrent 'etiquette' is insulting to the majority of users or ptnetial users and former users. There are some who wear clothes in there but who would not object to thos who do not, these are form all sorts of backgrounds. naturally, we did not taqke a mathematiccal suurvey when the users where there because we did not expect it to be needed!

Howeverm the melting pot that was the user-range of the old York Hall was a tremendous cross sectiojn in the community and we all know that the weekday sessions were busier than they are now.

The company could be tapping its own objectives by operating a more diverse admissions policy.

It is essential that the point continues to be made that the ''etiquette' needs serious reviewing.

All of these thigns must be made clear to the compnasy before going higher - they  have to reject all reasonable representation beforehand.

Just a thought can we not get the Spa people to adjust their policies
via equality legislation or via the Mayor of London's office?

I work in the public sector within the financial services arena, and we
are continually being asked to promote our sector to women and ethnic
minorities as they are under-represented by the sector. If we can show
that spa's in London or this one in particular cater mainly for women
then they (and the local authority) are duty bound to try to redress
the balance by promoting the services specifically to men.

The key bit is that that there has to be some form of market
intelligence to show that Spa's / this Spa favours women and then they
have to act – and are legally entitled to target men in particular with
incentives - to redress the balance - is it worth a go? How can we get
some data?
