Thanks for the reply. I'm not a member of the A40 Club. Although I've been searching round the net.

 

Can't use the repair kits, the cylinders need replacing.

 

The break shoes (which are also being replaced) I can get but can't order them until I get the cylinders. A bit swings & roundabouts at the moment.

 

Any info on the Kingpin set would be appreciated .... anyone?

 

I did go to the classic car show in Bristol last weekend (been a couple times before and my Dad used to love going to this event) just on the off chance of spares but no luck. Saw the two A40's at the show, thought there would be more. Anyway the show was great and fascinating as per ususal, some cars were just amazing.

If the wheel cyls are ok on the internal bore a repair kit should sort it,this would be a lot cheaper than new cylinders.

PS

You may need new brake shoes if  the wheel cyls have leaked onto linings.
