Hi

If you get an email that says something about a new website and video, DON'T
openit, it hasn't come from me, and probably has a virus attached. I'm
looking into it

I was about to list a kingpin kit and a new old stock front wing for
the Mk1.I will hold off the listing until you decide the route you
are going to take.A conversion to disc brakes can be expensive if
the secondhand parts require refurb. If you add together the cost of
a later kingpin kit plus the stub axles, hubs, calipers, discs ,etc
it could work out to be more expensive than you think.

My A40 Mk1, has a terminal kingpin problem - the MOT man says so, so
who am I to argue! Still this is after 4 years of him tutting as
opposed to failing it.

So the question is: As its a MK1 and Kingpins seem to be rare, I have
heard that you can replace the front suspension with MG Midget bits
and get not only new kingpins at a fraction of the cost but more
effective brakes as you put the midgets discs on as well - anyone had
the experience or is this a case a good idea but one nobody has done.
(in which case anyone know of a set of MK1 Kingpins??)

No I will be vintage racing one in Texas. Graham Davies brought it over some years ago. A friend of mine bought it when Graham fell onto bad times and my friend has since passed away so I intend to put it back on the track after about a 12 year absence. See photos for Brians A-40

Grey A40 can be seen in the original "The Pink Panther" (1963). It's
the car used in the staged kidnap of Claudia Cardinale's dog!

Front & rear screen rubbers are available through the Club. Quarter
light rubbers aren't available for love or money :-(

Like I think I said originally; Australian Cars might have had their
own colours.

What about tyre shine? Aerosol can stuff...perhaps sprayed on a rag and tested on an inconspicuous area first

sorry to half change the subject but i was wondering how available these rubbers are?
I was just looking at a farina to buy on saturday and it was the rubbers that put me off..every one was petrified, and the front screen needed replacing.
(How can some one allow wipers to run without any blades?)
