DOULA TRAINING WORKSHOP

On completion of the course, you will be able to:

*Identify the significance of God in the birth experience of women & their
families;
*Define the role of the doula during pregnancy, birth & postpartum;
*Describe the scope of practice & code of ethics for a doula;
*List the benefits of a doula;
*Understand the spiritual, emotional & physical needs of laboring women & their partners;
*Demonstrate comfort measures optimal positioning for labor; and
*Explain non-pharmacologic methods of pain relief.
