Richard,

I think you may be correct in saying that the Kings Caple site
is not an airstrip. If you look closely at Google you will see
at 380m from the SW end there is a hedge line crossing the track.
The hedge on the northern side is too close and too high to allow
safe passage of any aircraft.
however the narrow strip would not be a problem for most microlight
pilots. My closest airstrip is Letterkenny Co Donegal Ireland and
they operate out of a tarmac strip which is only 3m wide.
