Ok ive spent the last hours grouping round under the dash and under the bonnet after being plunged into darkness im presumeing when the fuse blew...indicators...

thanks for that tom... yes its there!.. under all the sound insulation and no wonder i couldnt find it in the dark last night. And they dont give you a spare...

ive driven about 60 miles today...with the light on in day time to see if its going to blow the fuse again..it didnt.... is it normal to blow the odd fuse?......

... Heh, could be. Fuses age, and if the fuse is carrying a respectable current an old fuse may blow for no particular reason. If it's a one-off I wouldn't...
