Is your Virgp Petrol or Diesel. This sounds like a classic case of petrol evaporation to me - hence it runs until the engine gets hot, then the petrol starts...

Humm... if it were a bike id say, the tank vent is blocked, so causing an air lock (no air can get in to replace the fuel burnt) so it stops but will start...

All of the gearboxes are a bit prone to failure if not looked after properly. Design wise, the best of the bunch is the Ligier, as the gearbox is mounted...
