Dear friends,

                 Recently there are worrying reports that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is in ill health while under detention by military regime. She is not allowed even to see her sons or her doctor. Nobody, apart from her jailers, has seen her for months. Even ASEAN envoy and United Nation envoys are not allowed to see her.

                 Worse still, there are signs indicating Than Shwe's determination to wipe out all opposition totally. NLD is on the brink of extinction under ruthless oppression by the regime. Ethnic people are suffering relentless ethnic cleansing by regime troops. There are confessions by former military intelligence agents that Than Shwe definitely has a plan to end the life of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi somehow_ their plans to assassinate her in 2003 failed because of disagreement between Khin Nyunt and Soe Win at that time.

                 There are yet unconfirmed reports that she has been suffering from ill health of unknown cause. We will never know even if the Generals are poisoning her gradually and slowly while she is in their custody.

                 But one thing is sure; all the hell will break loose in Burma if she dies in their custody, especially if dies in mysterious circumstances.   

                 This is not fear-mongering. There certainly is an immediate and imminent danger to the safety of her life while she is under total incommunicado detention by a military regime which rank world top number one, along with Sudan, in their crimes against humanity.
