Politician of the year 2006 for Burma

Dear friends,

                Let's choose the Person of the year who has been most interesting and most talked about in Burmese politics.

               A person who has had most impact, who has made more effect on Burmese politics.

               A person who is most exciting and who has caused most headlines and made most news in Burmese politics.

              This person can be from inside Burma , from among exile Burmese politicians, from border regions and ethnic groups, or a non-Burmese international friend of Burma.

              PLEASE CHOOSE A PERSON OF YOUR CHOICE AND TELL US WHO HE/SHE IS AND WHY YOU CHOOSE HIM/HER.

              In fact there are so many political personalities to choose from.

              Inside Burma , there is Min Ko Naing and 8888 student leaders whose arrest led to the massive white-shirt campaign. There is Ko Mya Aye and friends who took over after the arrest of Ko Min Ko Naing. There is Zarganar, there is Ludu Daw Amar, there is Sayar Gyi Dagon Taryar; all of them bravely spoke out against SPDC regime. And there is Ma Su Su New.

             Outside Burma, there are so many many political activists_ people from NCGUB, NCUB, exile student leaders, DFB, DAB, ……And there is Sayar Gyi Salai Tun Than who tried a solo effort which a lot of ripples this year.

             On the border areas, there are ethnic leaders, and groups like Free Burma Rangers, and of course Dr Cynthia Maung.

             Among foreigners, there is Mr. Gambari, Bishop TuTu, Americam politicians who helped us a lot in the year 2006.

             And from darker side, there is our King Than Shwe and his royal family. His crony Tycoon Tayza. And Thein Sein, in charge of the sham national convention. And there is Kyaw San who tends to speak a lot of falsehoods in news conferences.

             So name any one who you think is the most interesting and most exciting Politician of the year 2006 for Burma .
