Hello,
The park is really taking shape now, the benches are installed, the
top layer - a bonded resin surface of the paths has been laid down
and the solar powered lighting is up. Over the coming weeks the
Style Street entrance arches will be put in place and grass sown
in Angel Meadow.
I've taken some photos of the new features and road tested the paths
on my roller blades this weekend - photos can be found under the
folder: Photos -> Spring 2005.
Newsletter Issue 3
Our third newsletter has been published and we are printing it
professionally this time. Hopefully the finished product will be
ready by next week; then FOAM will distribute some copies to the
apartments and local public houses. An electronic version will also
be available on the web shortly.
History Workshops
The 3rd history workshop takes place on Saturday 19th March 10.30
– 13.30 at the Charter St Ragged School on Aspin Lane adjacent to
the park. This will be a general discussion and then a focus of the
various themes, which we hope will be created on the "Information
Boards". Check out the Calendar on our website for more details.
Clean Up Day
After the success of last year's event, we have provisionally
pencilled in the diary the morning of 07th May 2005. The event will
again be done in conjunction with the Manchester 100 Day Clean Up
Challenge and target not just the park but some of the local
streets.
Hope to see you next Saturday at the workshop. For all those curious
about the solar powered lights – check out:
