dear all,

this is my frist time to join this news group. i am currenlt doing a
design project, which is to design a perfomance space, using the sempty
space in front of the angel meadow. my concept is to bring a sense of
local community and to rediscover the culture of manchester, i am sure
manchester culture is not shopping!!! it is more than that! and i hope
through this project, i can propose something which is can bring the
community and a sense of place to all of you.

however, in the mena time, this is just a student project. but i would
say if the project can reach a certain quality, it is possible to be a
proposal.

i hope that it can be a project that would fit the communtity. since i
read the news group and i was so impressed by this newss group and i
really believe i must propose a good design in front of this important
piece of land.

ps. in this project, i would like to gather some popolation figures/
types of pepole living here/ around this areas, would there be any
recommendation where i can source this information. since this
information is to proof how important this space will be and the size
of community will be affected through the new intervention in front of
the angel meadow.
